OUR PHILOSOPHY
"The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them."
Albert Einstein
At Alpine Behavior Therapy Clinic, we appreciate that everyone has a life story. Each story we hear is important, real and unique. Our licensed and experienced therapists are dedicated to providing supportive, solution-oriented counseling services to assist you in navigating as your walk through the sensitive dynamics of your specific life experience. We listen, we validate and we work to explore options with you, aimed at bringing you relief, comfort, solutions and hope.
Areas of Clinical Expertise: ADHD, High Functioning Autism (ASD) in both children and adults, Traumatic Brain Injury, Anxiety and Mood Disorders, Pain Management and Post-Covid-19 Conditions or Covid-19 Long-Haul Symptoms (Sleep issues, depression, irritability, low energy, limited mental and physical endurance, cognitive fog, easily aroused anxiety, etc.).
Treatment Modalities:
We primarily rely on a supportive, didactic, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapeutic (CBT) approach which incorporates real world, practical, portable skills, along with education, problem-solving and useful coping strategies. CBT may best be understood as a structured, present-oriented, therapeutic modality based on the principle that there is a dynamic relationship between a person's thoughts, behaviors and feelings. In CBT, we collaborate with our patients to carefully examine how specific thoughts and behaviors may impact individual feelings and reactions. This approach can effectively promote insight, and subsequently aid in changing behavioral outcomes for the better.
Other therapies we provide include: Ericksonian Clinical Hypnotherapy, EMDR Therapy where warranted, and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) especially with patients diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or PTSD.
Psychoeducation, evidence-based counseling, referral to relevant resources and professional liaison services round out the comprehensive clinical services which are provided by the licensed, skilled and well-experienced psychotherapists at ABTC.
